The day in between…

On Good Friday we celebrate, wait that’s not the right word... we remember the sacrifice of Christ, the agony of the cross and the beautifully brutal love that God showed towards us in the price He was willing to pay.

On Sunday we revel in the victory of the resurrection! Shouting praises, prayers of gratitude and joy found in our forgiveness, redemption and restoration.

But today is the day in between… Good Friday and Sunday are bookends to this Saturday.

This is the day the disciples ran and hid. This is the day they asked questions for which they had no answers. This is the day they found one another and huddled together under a banner of confusion, hurt and fear.

Many of us are experiencing those emotions today… broken relationships, confusing culture, and hurts that come out of nowhere.

But, just as the disciples had to walk through that long dark night of the soul, we too have this one hope:

Sunday is coming.

Whatever you are attempting to endure today, know that Jesus has already gained the victory. Join Him tomorrow as the world remembers He invited us to more than church.

He invited us to a new way of living.

Philippians 3:10–11 (ESV): that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
